AI IN PRODUCTION

Seedance 2.5 for motion design: uses and advantages

ByteDance’s joint video-and-audio generation model. It supports references and editing and can help prepare individual shots or test visual movement in a motion project.

Advantages in a workflow

  • Video and audio generation in one process.
  • References for framing and movement.
  • Editing and scene-control capabilities.

An example of project use

Define the starting frame, action, camera movement and shot ending first. A short test helps validate the idea before building a longer sequence. Review the chosen shot in the edit: does the pace fit, does the subject remain consistent and is there room for a transition? Combine the generated material with CG and typography in After Effects when needed.

What to check

Generation is not a controllable 3D scene. Check geometry, physical behaviour and detail throughout the shot. Interface capabilities, pricing and model access can differ, so assess the chosen platform rather than relying on the version name alone.

Connecting it with classical production

Sessions approach the tool through a project task: what it accelerates, what inputs it needs and how to review the output. Combine it with design, animation and compositing.
